So, the local pool where I usually swim on Mondays is now being closed for two months for remodelling. This is annoying because there are very few other options for me:

1. Go to 'Oasis'. But this is a fun pool, where you can't really swim, and is only fun when with a friend.
2. Stop swimming for two months. (Don't like this one)
3. Make my mum change the day she drops me off on the way to her massage to wednesday and go to the local high school pool. She'd have to change her time as well though.

/ramble.

I actually have something to talk about? How unheard of!

Okay, so recently my cousins got me this game for my Birthday. You play it alongside a DVD.

In the languages when you start off, you can select:

English, German, French, and everything...

but also AUSTRALIAN?

So, does the guy go 'G'day mate' every so often or something? This remains to be seen! It's very odd.

Also another strange thing is this apple juice we bought- 'apple juice with concentrated apple juice' is on the side of the label. How very odd.

Kidding! It's not THAT quick. But I really have nothing to say today, so I guess I'll make something up. I have to be fast because I have to leave for school soon, and realised that I won't be able to do my post this evening because I have a friend coming round.

Anyhow.

It's a very foggy day today- and I'm wondering if this ever effects anyone's mood when they go to work/school? It may not be a conscious thought, however. I think it does affect me.

Holas mon amigos.

Today I am rambling about chocolate. Hence the food theme in this post. (The quote was intentional, but the random link? Yeah, that was just luck in my funny-page-search. It certainly made me chuckle.)

Moving on.

So, I just bought this bar of chocolate, because my family was all 'let's get chocolate' because we do every couple of weeks, which sounds like we're really good and only eat chocolate every few weeks.

I'm afraid that isn't true. I'm leaving out the cakes.

But not all of those cakes are chocolate!

So, I still pretty much only eat chocolate once a fortnight.

Hey, I feel healthy right now! Unfortunately, we are guilty of eating crisps, sugared breakfast ceraeals, and fatty foods (however, we're not the worst on the planet at it.) So, back to my main point (well, it's called a ramble for a REASON, guys).

I just bought this amazing bar of chocolate, by the company Heaven.

And it is so delicious.

Good morning guys. It's actually about 3 am for most people in America, but it's twelve minutes past seven as I write this and I'm getting ready for school.

Now what I'm actually going to talk about...

Okay, so, I'm doing a lot better with my cold, hence why I'm not having a sick day today ( Everybody say 'awwww' or, if you prefer 'haaahahaaaaa' if you're a mean spirited person.) But last night, as I was carrying my duvet back up from where it had spent the day draped over the sofa with me nestled inside watching DVDs, I managed to carry the DVD remote up with me.

Do'h.

So, what's the stupidest thing you've ever done, that you can remember? (Hey, I once walked into a door, there's no shame in admitting it. I know several people who have walked into lampposts.) I'm hoping to get a few so I can talk about them (I promise not to make fun of you!) in my next post.

Hey.
I had a sick day today, and half a one yesterday (I went home halfway through.)

And today, it is raining. I spent most of it lying on the sofa and watched 3 DVDs. Joy. (For anyone who cares, they were Ballet Shoes, The Princess Diares 2, and Ella Enchanted. The first one is a very good BBC adaption, the second two are perfect I'm-ill-and-am-feeling-lazy films. So's the first one, but it's a good film as well.) And I ate beans on toast. Go figure.

Anywaaaaaay, this blog isn't about what I ate for lunch or what DVD's I watched.

I'm asking you what YOU do on rainy days (when you aren't sick. Cause when I'm sick, it's not very interesting, as you may have noticed.)

Or, perhaps, like me, you just kinda do what you normally do: e.g, post in your blog, do some homework, read, go to the local swimming pool every couple weeks. The only thing that changes if I'm feeling sick is: Going for a walk, going into town (which I may do anyway), and going into the garden.

So, if anyone comes across this post (which has been my least witty yet but I wanted to write osmething anyway)- perhaps you can put some enlightenment into my situation- what should I do on my rainy days?

So....

I'm very sad. Because I have a cold. And I keep coughing and sneezing... and doing both at the same times (yes, it's possible, just not with your eyes open.)

So I wondered if the web could throw any light on the situation.

Okay, so apparently I should:

• Drink lots of water
• Drink ginger tea and lemon tea? (oookay then)
• Increase my vitamin C in my diet
• Get lots of rest and avoid work- hey, I like this one!
• Eat garlic? Huh?
• Eat spicy foods? (how is THAT going to help?)
• Look, forget it, I'm just going to rest and drink water.. And maybe have a bath. This is a shame, because I usually go swimming on a monday. But swimming makes colds worse.

Darn.

So.

Today I have nothing particularly inspiring to talk about. (big suprise, because I am SUCH a creative person... cough.)

So I decided to use my 'Stumble' toolbar to go through a few other blogs for inspiration.

I didn't have much luck.

So, I gave up after a bit.

Eventually, I decided to discuss this funny page I found. I guess this is 'ramble' should really be 'Miss Insanity's Extra Link Of The Day With Rambling'.

Whatever.

Here is the link. I seem to be very anti-american today, don't I? Woops. Aww, Americans, I love you really. Apart from the fact that I can't ever do anything on the internet because everything is based around your timezone. Grr.

Anyway. I'd ask you some questions about this, but I don't have anyone to ask, so this is pretty much pointless.

An odd thing about our language is our obsession with the heart. It's a nessecary body part, and it keeps us alive, but I really don't understand how to us, it is the root of our morals and love. For example, if we were to replace a phrase like 'Follow your heart' with another body part- e.g 'follow your liver'- then wouldn't that sound very odd?

This was actually brought up by my Dad at breakfast.
